Pre-Trip Anxiety Remedies

I have just gotten past security at YVR, waiting to board.

Off on another adventure.

Watch this space.

🙂

A really quick blog post. I’m sitting at my Gate (D58 😉 ) waiting to board… Feeling extremely at peace and comfortable and excited. I’m so lucky to have such wonderful friends who have distracted me from my usual bouts of pre-trip anxiety.

How To Deal With Pre-Trip Anxiety:

(Not that I’m the best person to give advice about this, because I usually suffer from this SO MUCH…)

1.) Write a to do list.
– If you don’t write down the list of things that you need to accomplish, the pile of things to do will feel much bigger than it actually is. Each time an item is crossed off your list will feel like a mini accomplishment.

2.) Spend time with friends.
– Your quality friends. Spending time with people who want to spend time with you leaves you a wonderfully refreshed feeling that stays with you and gives you peace of mind until the day of your departure, and onward.

3.) Breathe.
– Relax. Take a little time for yourself. Have a nice bath. Indulge in a really long shower.

4.) Get excited.
– Sometimes when I get stressed out, I forget to get excited. You are about to embark on an adventure. You’re about to leave home and create new memories, have new experiences. Get excited and look to the future.
